Savor the Central Coast Presents “Brown Sugar and Barrels”

Send your taste buds for a trip down south as famous Soul Food Queen and Celebrity Chef Tanya Holland combines forces with Savor’s own Chef Gregg Wangard and pastry chef Hannah Ingham to bring you “Brown Sugar and Barrels”.

Kicking off on the evening of September 26th, “Brown Sugar and Barrels” offers guests the opportunity to soak in breathtaking ocean views on the patio of the Cliffs Resort while the scents of simmering brown sugar fill the air. Guests can sip on barrel aged bourbon cocktails or top of their glass with one of the many craft beers or local wines as they watch the sun set along the California coastline. Not to mention, all in attendance will be privileged with total indulgence– as the Chefs hard work comes to life in an array of contemporary soul food dishes infused with the sweet and savory flavors of the south. Upon devouring their dishes, attendees are encouraged to venture inside to let loose to the music of Soul Scratch and DJ Carlos Escobar and dance the night away.

After a fun-filled evening, the Cliffs extends the invitation for all to embrace the central coast’s “eat, play, stay” attitude, as it welcomes all attendees of “Brown Sugar and Barrels” to enjoy an upgraded Partial Ocean View Room with packages starting at $370. In addition, Upgrades to ocean view rooms are available or guests can stay over and enjoy discounted Saturday night rates too!

The delectable menu for the night includes:

Dinner | 6 pm – 9 pm

  • Selection of Southern Breads
  • Chicken and Waffles
  • Shrimp and Grits
  • Smoked Ribs
  • Pork Sliders with Spicy Coleslaw
  • Smoked Yams, Collard Greens & Corn Bread with Brown Sugar butter
  • Pimento Cheese with crackers
  • Pulled Pork Pizza
