The 4th Annual Wine Waves & Beyond Central Coast Longboard Surf Classic will be held in Pismo Beach from May 30 through June 2. Once again, this classic California event will evoke the vivid and timeless culture of surfing and the enchanting world of wine and handcrafted locally brewed beers. Proceeds from Wine Waves & Beyond are donated to the Association of Amputee Surfers (Amp Surf) an organization that strives to promote, inspire, educate, and rehabilitate those with disabilities, especially veterans, through adaptive surfing and other fun and safe outdoor activities. Over the past three years, Wine Waves & Beyond has raised over $45,000 for Amp Surf .Wine Spectator magazine commented that Wine, Waves & Beyond celebrates “two of the Central Coast’s most enticing assets, its surfing scene and its wineries. It is Sideways meets Big Wednesday.” Over four exhilarating days, The 4^th Annual Wine Waves & Beyond Central Coast Longboard Surf Classic will feature the following events at various scenic venues throughout Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo County:

Surf Movie Night at the Fremont Theatre, SLO, Thursday, May 30 6:30pm • $10: San Luis Obispo’s landmark Fremont Theater will kick-off another great year for Wine, Waves & Beyond with a surf movie screening in a night filled with community, culture, surfing and prizes. Raffle tickets will include a chance to win everything from original art and custom boards, to dinners at SLO county’s finest restaurants, plus tickets to weekend Wine Waves & Beyond events.

Barrel-to-Barrel at The Cliffs Resort, Pismo Beach, Friday, May 31 5:00-8:00pm • $45: Held on the picturesque ocean front lawn of The Cliffs Resort, Wine Waves & Beyond presents an unforgettable and authentic Barrel-to-Barrel winetasting event that will include live music from Aloha Radio, tastings from over 35 participating wineries and breweries, a spectacular lifestyle silent auction, gourmet bites from local restaurants, and a breathtaking vista of the Pacific Coast sunset.

Winemakers’ Dinner at The Cliffs Resort, Pismo Beach, Saturday, June 1 6:30pm • $75: Chronic Cellars will partner with The Cliffs Resort as they join both Cypher and Grey Wolf Cellars to pour for their inaugural Winemakers’ Dinner. Guest chefs from Marisol Restaurant at the Cliffs, the Sea Venture, Apple Farm Wine Country Inn, and the Gardens of Avila at Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort will each create a delicious course to pair with each flight of these local outstanding wines. Also, at this year’s Winemakers’ Dinner, the Chef Auction returns with the opportunity for dinner guests to bid on privately served and prepared custom meals by SLO county’s finest chefs.

Surf Contest on the Pismo Pier, Sunday, June 2, 7 – 3pm: The 4^thAnnual Wine, Waves, & Beyond Longboard Contest begins early Sunday morning. This California classic surf contest will consist of men and women’s heats, Challenged Athletes’ heats, and local Winemakers/Brew Masters’ heat. Entry Fee is $30.

Volkswagen Display, Sunday from 11-5pm, “805 Classic” – BBQ, & Live Music at on the Beach in front of SeaVenture, Sunday – 12-5pm: Coinciding with Sunday’s surfing events, the 805 Classic BBQ will feature Firestone Walker Brewing Company, the annual Volkswagen display, and live music from Soul Sauce and the Crisptones.
